A history of unique engine development, Bonner Engineering was formed by, and remains under the control of, Bill Bonner who left Cambridge with an engineering degree in 1969 to enter industry as a design and development engineer.
After gaining experience as a project engineer in the UK with engine research and development pioneers, Weslake & Co, and with BP in Australia as an automotive engineer specialising in fuel systems, he set up his own operation. Bonner Engineering has been at Shoreham Airport since 1974.
Since then, as manufacturers of specialist engines, we have designed and made engines that have gone into aircraft, road cars, race cars, record breaking cars, offshore powerboats. All have been developed in our dynamometer test facility.
